The Buddhist Association represents the core values of compassion, wisdom, and unity. Based on the teachings of Buddha, it promotes spiritual development and social harmony among the students. The main goal of this association is to provide spiritual guidance for the Buddhist children in our school through meditation and other religious activities.
- Our Buddhist Association comprises 120 students from all grades and 25 school staff members. The Buddhist Association is offering the following positions for 2023.

Objectives of the Buddhist Association are given below:

- Meditation and Mindfulness: Providing opportunities to practice meditation and mindfulness, helping to develop inner peace, mental clarity, and emotional well-being in the school community.

- Education and Awareness: To educate members and the broader school community about Buddhist principles, philosophy, and practices, promoting understanding and tolerance among different belief systems.

- Community Service: To engage in charitable activities and community service projects inspired by Buddhist values, fostering a sense of altruism and social responsibility.

Religious Programmes
1. CONDUCTING A DHANSALA ON THE OCCASION OF VESAK
♦ Vesak festival is one of the most important festivals of the Buddhas. On that day, the birth, enlightenment, and passing away of the Buddha are commemorated. On the occasion of Vesak, the Buddhist association was able to organize a lot of devotions in our school on May 4th. The Buddhist students created Vesak cards and the creative cards were selected and prizes were awarded to the winners by the principal of our school. Simultaneously, an ice cream dansala was held for all the children of the school.
2. ANNUAL SEELA PROGRAM
♦ On the morning of Vap Poya Day (28), the 'Annual Seela Program' took place at the Hendala Purana Raja Maha Viharaya. All the Buddhist children from our school participated in this event, which was sponsored by our school's Buddhist association and teaching staff. It was a charitable event aimed at promoting Buddhist values among the students. The Seela campaign essentially aims to cultivate moral values, ethical behavior, and a sense of responsibility among students through the teachings and practices found in Buddhism.It serves as an annual reminder and reminder and reinforcement of these principles within the school community.
